Darth Maul fell on some hard times after the first episode. He couldn’t find his original legs after they got sliced off so he had to grab a pair that was a little shorter, and as a result, his body shrunk down to that size as well. Since then he’s been trying to pay for the operation while avoiding going back to the evil ways of the Sith. It’s just not for him anymore. Instead he’s been working on his other dream of handing out candy to all the good younglings in the Jedi temple.
